A highly textured surface with dark and light segments, some tightly textured, some loosely textured. Four blue circles have smooth surfaces, some with shiny bits in them, all with erect or semi-erect light blue walls. The largest circle is on the left above center with light blue curvilinear paths to the other three smaller circles. This piece does not hang flat.

New Idea Creating Other Changes, 2022, 35” x 42” Wool, tie interfacings, angelina, worn out shirt, long-johns, and lace curtain

pastel wool nuno-felted over purple fabric which shows in pools. Main fabric is cut and stitched back together with very long black stitches in thick thread leaving some gaps in the fabric. Threads of varying length dangle over one hole continuing below the bottom edge of the piece. Other threads dangle from the top left edge to below the bottom edge.

Survivor, 2021, 30 x 45”, Silk, alpaca fiber, wool, pearl cotton

This piece is wide across the top, the main part of which has a pink background filled with flowers that are larger at the top than at the bottom. The sides have yellow, blue and red flames. There are a few black streaks among the flowers. The bottom edge is brightly colored with some shiny parts, above that is a line of black silk and above that a nuno-felted tie on the front and a grey figured tie across the back gather the fabric into deep folds which open closer to the flowered section.
